FUJI BICYCLE EXHIBIT IN PHILLY. 8-01-08

Fuji Bikes graciously asked Tristan and the Thunderdog Crew to make a custom Fuji Track Bike for their upcoming exhibition in Philadelphia.
So what did we do? We went ALL OUT. We had the bike custom painted, welded and embroidered to the point of absurdity! Check out the sneak peak!

Other artists in the show are Shane Jessup, Tim Diet, Zephyr, A.C.I.D. NYC and Chris Yormick to name a few…If you can make it down there, it’s going to be heavy. Don’t miss it!

TRISTAN EATON for KIDROBOT & CARTOON NETWORK

We’re proud to see one of Tristans’ characters on air this summer. If any of you can afford basic cable these days, check out the new CARTOON NETWORK commercials that feature one of his characters called NOOD!
Kidrobot asked Tristan to design another character in his signature style (like DUNNY & MUNNY) for CARTOON NETWORK to turn into an animated platform toy! Totally awesome!

Keep an eye out for that one!

Tristan here. So much happened in Zurich it’s taken a while to digest it all. Plus, we just recovered from our hangovers a day ago - so we figured it’s time to show you all what went down. First of all THANKS A MILLION to the guys from UNCUT CONCEPTS & RE- HAB for bringing us out there. It was so fun. It was almost unfair how well Zurich treated us.

About the art…For this installation I was told I could do ANYTHING I wanted, so naturally I abused such a generous offer. Give me an inch, I’ll paint the ruler. I wanted to go dirty and to go big. So I redesigned a whole series of classified ads from 1970s porno magazines, replacing the art with mine and changing the text here and there. I pasted them up, inside and out, then hand painted my signature buxom vixens on top. I was hoping the XXX content would incite quite a comical reaction from the unsuspecting Swiss. Little did I know, the site for the installation was not only an old strip club, but smack in the middle of Zurich’s (former) Red Light District! And even better, it was actually underneath a functioning brothel. So to my dismay, my XXX art was rendered impotent and actually fit right in. Pretty cool I guess. Next time I’ll take this show to the upper east side and get the reaction I hoped for…

This is one of the brothel workers. At one point, 4 prostitutes watched us paint for about an hour, asking us if we were painting them in the pictures…(you wish).

THUNDERDOG / RE-HAB ZURICH: First few days…

It’s been a crazy trip so far. Not only is the space for our event in the red-light district, but it’s also an old strip club. Perfect. It couldn’t be any better! And the Police seem to love us (how could they not?!)…everything is going well so far.

Big up to everyone from Uncut Concepts who’ve made this trip great so far…

Anyway, we started painting the first day - check some of the highlights:
