TRISTAN AT THE OBAMA INAUGURATION!
We are so excited to announce that Tristan Eaton will be participating in Shepard Fairey’s MANIFEST HOPE Exhibition next week, co-inciding with Barack Obama’s Inauguration!
For the show, Tristan re-created his Obama portrait from his popular THUNDERVOTE poster on a 4 foot by 5 foot canvas. To make the painting, Tristan printed and hand cut over 300 images, then wheat pasted them, one by one to the canvas. The background features a collage of his Vote For Change posters which add a tint of patriotic color!
It’s been a long road for the Obama Campaign and we’re so happy to be there to celebrate! Everyone’s hard work paid off!!!
Also on display will the be the infamous THUNDERVOTE track bike that Tristan created with Alchemy Paint Works and Trackstar NYC. The THUNDERVOTE bike travelled through out the United States encouraging young voter turnout, popping wheelies all the way, accompanied by our 6 foot Ballot Box character and free posters!
