THE MIRF!

Next month,1134NYC teams up with NYC Art Toy Brand Thunderdog Studios to release the first ever graffiti based, wall mounted, vinyl toy.

Designed by 1134 members MINT & SERF, this toy features a pure collaboration, merging their styles to form the iconic ‘MIRF’. More of a sculpture than a toy, the 9″ long MIRF is rotary molded in soft-vinyl and made in 4 color-ways, each limited to 200 pieces. The sleek sculpting of the MIRF is accentuated by its’ luxurious packaging which features a slide out box, silver foil and a two sided, flocked, blister tray.

East Coast (Black & White Matte) & West Coast (Black & White Glossy) editions are set to launch in June, 2008.

THUNDERDOG LOVES DETROIT!!

This week, New York’s Thunderdog Studios heads to Motown with Dante Ross and Dr. Revolt to aid the Detroit YMCA in pulling off Detroit’s first ever Sneaker Exhibition. The event will last 2 days and feature a wide array of attractions including: A rare and unusual sneaker exhibition, Breaking, Djs and live art by Dr. Revolt & Tristan Eaton. Word has it that the Detroit Pistons will be in the house to sign autograph shoes and host a free throw contest and many other suprises are sure to pop up. If you’re in the Detroit area, get down there!

All proceeds will go to the the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign.

This week is the New York Auto Show and Thunderdog teamed up with FORD yet again! Similar to the Chicago Auto show, Tristan has painted a set of 3 panels over the course of the weekend to celebrate the new 2009 Ford Flex.

Tristan got one underway early to set the week off right! This new series will feature a more elegant approach of pattern based designs, all subtly erotic in their own way. Tristan also illustrated a mini poster just for the auto show…these will be given away for free, so definitely stop by!

Hello friends and colleagues. We have some major news to drop on you this sunny afternoon. We have been hard at work for months, behind the scenes on many amazing projects…and they are starting to erupt!

First, we are happy to announce the release of SCION SPEAK!

Our president Tristan Eaton, did an in-depth, 6 month research and development project for this along with Scion and super Ad-Agency Strawberry Frog…with awesome results.

The goal was to develop a secret language of images for Scion owners…a vocabulary of icons that they could use to express themselves and communicate through. And of course, Tristan was going to design the whole damn thing! So, after hanging out with Scion owners and car club presidents from coast to coast, we picked their brains, digested their thoughts and went to work.

The result is an extremely beautiful CREST GENERATOR like nothing you’ve seen before. You can design your own crest in every detail! Please go check it out! It just launched yesterday…

Last week Tristan & AZK flew out to Chicago to rep Thunderdog at the 100th annual Chicago Auto Show, courtesy of Ford Motor Company. Tristan was on the spot 3 days in a row customizing roof tops of the soon to be released, luxury Ford SUV….The Flex!

This thing is amazing, 3 sun roofs, built in refridgerator…this car is fresh.

As you all know, our founder and president, Tristan Eaton designed 2 of Kidrobot’s most loved toys, the DUNNY and MUNNY.

We’re proud to announce that this year, New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) has included these cute little figures into their permanent design collection!
They will be on display there until November 2008 on the 3rd floor. Yo must go check it out! The other inductions are quite amazing.
