WELLING COURT, QUEENS MURAL PROJECT - ADHOC GALLERY

Tristan was asked to contribute to an awesome mural project organized by ADHOC GALLERY this past weekend. Other artists included: Ron English, Cey Adams, CR, Cern, Mr. Kiji, Lady Pink, TooFly, Cycle, Michael DeFeo and many more. We also video taped the whole process, so keep an eye out for the video post coming soon. Tristan’s piece consisted of a wheat-pasted background with a white wash, then hand painted line art using all KRINK INK!

See some of the works here.

TRISTAN EATON MURAL @ THE PUFFIN ROOM, SOHO

Our good pal Kevin Bourgeois has curated some nice folks into a group exhibition this coming Thursday at The Puffin Room. It should prove to be quite a good time with 5 floors of art and installations. Come check out Tristan’s piece on the 5th floor!

TRISTAN EATON MURAL AT NY FASHION WEEK

A couple of weeks ago, our prez Tristan Eaton was asked to paint a live mural for pop star Pete Wentz’ fashion show during Fashion Week NYC. Pete’s clothing line is called Clandestine Industries and the show was one giant party with the Dead Rabbits performing the whole time along side DJ Skeet Skeet. Pete and his wife Ashley were great people to hang out with - Thanks again guys! And special thanks to Jensen from Gallery 1988 for making it happen!

This is the final mural. It’s 8 feet by 12 feet, spray paint and ink on wood.

Tristan Eaton Mural - Primary Flight / Art Basel

Tristan here…Wow! What a week it’s been. We went down to Miami to check out Art Basel and do a little mural and it turned into a whole lot more. Big thanks to Books for inviting us into Primary Flight, Cpop Gallery for bringing us down and Crome & MSG Crew for letting me paint the walls of Easy St. Gallery.

Check out the pics of the mural in progress. The background was wheat pasted, then white washed, then hand painted with enamel, brushes, markers and mop tops.

Ron English came through! Thanks man.

Munnyworld Show NY!

Tonight Kidrobot is opening it’s newest exhibition of customized Munny toys (designed by Thunderdog founder Tristan Eaton of course). The line up of artists is really impressive and so is the work. Check out the entry below from Thunderdog. Designed and executed by Tristan and Matt Eaton.

Also this month, Kidrobot opens the doors of their first London store! Go check it out if you’re lucky enough to be in the UK!!!

Check out the details here.

Thunderdog VS Norwood

Most of you might not of heard of Norwood. It’s a members only Arts Club on 14th street in Manhattan, reserved for New Yorkers apparently too cool for The Soho House. We’d heard rumors. Enough rumors to make us curious when we were asked to completely decorate the 4 story club for their Superhero Halloween party! Of course we obliged and set out to channel Jack Kirby in an all out explosion of comic art kitsch and glory! Check out the results…

Big thanks to Alan Lin & James Killough for making it happen!

Detroit’s Dirty Show hits LA!

Detroit art pioneer Jerry Vile has successfully created the worlds’ largest erotic art exhibition ever and is finally taking it to the home of porn and filth - Hollywood! We’re super excited about this for a number of reasons: Not only was Tristan born in Hollywood and has work in the show, but Jerry Vile single handedly started Tristan’s illustration career when he hired him to illustrate for Detroit’s subversive and satirical Orbit magazine way back in 1996! Thanks Jerry!!!

It’s gonna be a great show - check out the line up! And did we mention that the whole show is in a Motel? Well it is. How dirty.

TRISTAN EATON SPOTS STREET SIGNS IN BROOKLYN

TRISTAN EATON SOLO SHOW @ C.R.E.A.M. PROJECTS, BROOKLYN

Big thanks to everyone who came out to Tristan’s show in Brooklyn at C.R.E.A.M. Projects recently!

It was a wild crazy party with tattoo ink and burgers flying everywhere. Check out the highlights below…

To inquire about purchasing work, please contact: info@thunderdogstudios.com

Tristan created a series of paintings for the show under the theme ‘Products of Our Environment’. Each piece is hand distressed, spray paint on metal. Accompanying this series was Tristan’s painting series ‘Postcards From America’, first debuted in Brazil last Summer. Take a look:

Of course, one of the highlights of the weekend was the on-site, free Tristan Tattoos, thanks to Alex McWatt of 3 Kings Tattoo Shop. Over 16 people got tattoos in one day!!! We welcome our branded forever fans.

After a few burgers and half of the keg was gone, the line for tattoos grew like crazy, so let me say big up to our own Pauly BLOKT Eyeballs for manning the BBQ! Check out the party highlights - and thanks again to all our people for coming through!!!
